Luxury Vintage at Harlaxton Manor

Harlaxton Manor, Grantham, Lincolnshire was the venue on this brisk spring morning for the fabulous wedding of Alexandra and Mark.  Arriving at the grounds early to set up I was greeted by the mile long drive way that led me to the breathtaking property that the couple had spoke to me about with such enthusiasm - the images on the website do it no justice at all!  The sun shone brightly and the atmosphere was serene throughout the 'perfectly grand' Manor.  The venue was decorated with great attention to detail and special touches important to the couple's family traditions, cultures and their vision; having spent hours pouring over inspiration, collecting vintage china, other vintage items since getting engaged in Paris almost 2 years before.

Alexandra and Marks's vision of their perfect day had come to life - vintage styling elements, lace as a nod to Alexandra's Portuguese heritage, polished silver tea and coffee pots filled with spring flowers in pinks and pastels, beautiful delicate vintage china favours and of course their amazing choice of venue with its mixture of Gothic, Jacobethan and Baroque styles.  Alexandra wore a gown created by Nottingham based designer Kula Tsurdiu but designed by herself; a bride who knew exactly what she wanted and wanted to reflect her own style and Portuguese wedding tradition.

Alexandra and Mark requested a four tier cake including vanilla and raspberry, chocolate truffle, a faux tier and a gluten free, dairy free tier of vanilla and raspberry. Sugar biscuit chocolate dipped teabag shaped wedding favours and dessert table with lots of mini cupcakes, macarons in various flavours and Delish! Cake pops all of which were greatly enjoyed.  The couple also added sweetie jars and I styled the table with a selrction of their vintage china. The very relaxed day flowed perfectly throughout the majestic halls, rooms and vast grounds with the stunning views and the event went on late into the night with dancing and music from a live band in the great hall.

Thank you for picking me to create the sweet edible elements of your wedding and for sharing your wedding on my blog!
