Celestial Starry Wedding Inspiration

Earlier this year I got to work with some of my favourite wedding suppliers yet again on a fantastic inspiration shoot based around Pantone’s Colour of the Year - Ultra Violet. When Pantone revealed this, I was definitely not thrilled at using this bright, almost neon purple colour in weddings but in the context of this creative direction and blended with other tones the result was stunning working with this very talented bunch! The inspiration for the cake used in this shoot was the meaning behind the word celestial – I used a colour palette that spoke of a night sky and heavenly gold stars.  The final look was very much experimental in the style of the current watercolour and marble trend but created with diluted food colours and touches of gold leaf and little fondant stars. Beyond Magda K’s brief, I don’t think that we knew what each other was creating so it’s crazy how all of our work was so similar and fitted together so well for this shoot at the all new Aswarby Rectory, Lincolnshire. The stand out moment for me is Magda’s photography and how she captured all of the elements and especially the venue. Take a look below.
