Oh You Pretty Things!
Quirky alternative wedding photographer Becky Ryan invited me to take part in a styled shoot based on a Palm Springs, retro, kitsch style. The opportunity was too good to pass up and the line up of wedding vendors was stupendous! After creating moodboards and deciding a colour palette together, I knew that I wanted to create something with a 50's American homemade look so lots of buttercream, buttercream shells and rainbow sprinkles seemed very fitting and fitted the retro brief. The addition of candy floss pink macarons and bright edible flowers was the perfect finish to complement all the other elements and bought the look right up to date.
There is such a strong aesthetic to this shoot, there were so many wonderful things to look at in all directions but the colour palette and styling by Orange Tree Weddings bought it all together perfectly. All of the wedding suppliers did a fabulous job and I had a particular fixation on the bouquets by Blooming Wild Flowers and the lace top with pastel applique flowers by Bella Figura. The bright pops of colour totally set the colour palette off too. This shoot totally shows that your wedding venue can be a blank canvas to create your dream day in too! Your wedding, your way! If you love what you see here, don't forget to Pin it!
